Welcome to The Kahani Podcast!
“Extraordinary stories of ordinary people.“
That pretty sums up the theme of this podcast. Here, I’ll be interviewing a variety of guests involved in diverse fields ranging from bioengineering to journalism. I want the focus not to be on their destination, but on their journeys, and the story that led them to where they are today. I aim to get their perspective on numerous areas like school, research, and career planning. In each informal Q/A episode I hope to work towards answering the question: What does it mean to be successful? This will be a question that gets asked to each guest at the end of each episode. I believe that there’s something valuable to be learned from everyone’s work, and I look forward to the insightful conversations ahead!
In 2024, I recorded and uploaded Season 1 (Episodes 1-14) of the podcast, where I primarily interviewed students. Currently, I’m working on Season 2, where the focus will be on students and professionals involved in STEM fields.

Some Backstory…
Way back in middle school, my school librarian/media tech specialist (who really helped me grow my passion for reading & learning) gave us students the opportunity to record and share podcasts with the school community! From there, “Give Stress a Rest” was born — where I worked during lunch periods to record episodes with friends on managing the stress that comes from middle-school & adolescent life. Then, during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, I had put together “The Artsy Stay at Home Podcast” — a combination of my digital art and disorganized ramblings. Again, I just shared this with the (online) school community — and no where else.
I could have (and probably should have) shared this work with others. Yet, something held me back (I go into this “something” in this blog post, but for now, we’ll just leave it at that)! Nonetheless, I’m realizing how important these experiences were, as they gave me the confidence to do what I’m doing now.
